it isn’t psychoactive (it won’t get you high).
Industrial hemp is bred specifically for fiber used for a wide variety of everyday consumer products– even building construction.

Is hemp legal to grow?

Growing hemp is legal in North Carolina, where we’re located, and in 33 other states.

What Is CBD Oil?

CBD is a compound extracted from hemp. Oil is one of the products of the compound.

Is CBD oil legal?

CBD oil derived from hemp is legal in all states in the US. But not CBD oil derived from marijuana. That CBD oil is considered illegal by the Federal government and is regulated by state laws.

What Is Cannabis?

There is a difference between Hemp cannabis and Marijuana cannabis. Hemp refers to strains of Cannabis sativa that have been bred specifically for fiber used for clothing and construction, oils and topical ointments, nutritional benefits and a wide and growing variety of other purposes that do not involve intoxication.

Cannabis, also known as marijuana among other names, is a psychoactive drug from the Cannabis plant intended for medical or recreational use. The main psychoactive part of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC); one of 483 known compounds in the plant, including at least 65 other cannabinoids. Marijuana is a slang term used to describe strains of Cannabis sativa specifically bred for the potent resinous glands (trichomes) that grow on the flowers (buds) and some leaves.

“The [legal] definition of hemp is a plant that has low THC and perhaps has a higher level of CBD,” says publisher and marijuana cultivation guru Ed Rosenthal.  Hence the legal redefinition of hemp from marijuana based on higher levels of the non-psychotropic cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) has evolved.

What Is CBD Oil?

CBD cannabis oil is derived using an extraction process from industrial hemp (Cannabis Sativa L.) The active ingredient is Cannabidiol of which CBD is the abbreviation. The CBD oil is non psychoactive and will not get you high. CBD (Cannabidiol) is not scheduled and is found in all hemp products which makes it legal in the US.
